About NibbleReads
NibbleReads is a home for dark, strange, reader-shaped fiction.
What happens when you sign up?
You will get four interactive stories per week. We send you one email per story per week. They are sent on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
You read the story, look at the options, and let us know in the comments which one you like and why.
We then write the next chapter and repeat until the story is finished.
In 2026, out launch year, everything is free. Yay.
Next year, everyone can still read for free but will be introducing a $5.00 per month upgrade for those who want to keep voting and commenting. Sadly, we need to feed ourselves to write.
About Rodney and Ethan
NibbleReads is run by Rodney Goodall and Ethan Goodall, a father/son writing team building a long-term home for dark, funny, and strange fiction.
We are beginning with interactive fiction to see how exciting people find it. If it takes off, we will stick with them forever.
We also write novels and will share them on NibbleReads when we are ready to drop them.
Rodney writes, walks, thinks too much, and has spent years circling stories, systems, strange ideas, and the question of how people actually want to live.
Ethan is a young writer with a sharp interest in dark fiction, society, power, corruption, and the kind of stories where people make questionable decisions for understandable reasons.
NibbleReads gives us a place to build stories together while also inviting readers into the process.
Some stories will be written by Rodney.
Some will be written by Ethan.
Some may eventually involve both of us in ways that seemed like a good idea at the time.
The Long-Term Plan
NibbleReads is being built as a long-term fiction home.
The plan is to grow slowly and steadily:
First, active serial stories.
Then completed stories will be sold as ebooks.
Later, possibly paperback editions, bundles, special issues, and stories set within entire worlds.
We are trying to build something that can last and be enjoyed.
A place where readers can return each week, follow our stories, join the conversation, and occasionally help make a character’s life much harder than it needed to be.
